WIPER MOTOR ASSEMBLY TRAINING BOARD
Description
Make: EEI, Model:SL-305, Origin: India
Description
The Wiper Motor Working Model is designed to demonstrate the construction, operation and working principle of an automotive windshield wiper system. The unit consists of a representative windshield or curved demonstration panel, wiper blades and arms, linkage mechanism, 12 V DC wiper motor, control switch, wiring harness and a sturdy supporting frame. When operated, the motor drives the linkage to move the wiper arms across the panel, illustrating the wiping motion used to maintain driver visibility.
Learning Outcomes
• Study the construction and working principle of an automotive wiper system.
• Identify the motor, gearbox, linkage, pivots, arms, blades and switch.
• Observe conversion of rotary motor motion into oscillating wiper motion.
• Study the basic electrical circuit and motor operation.
• Practice voltage measurement and continuity testing.
• Perform basic fault-finding checks on the switch, wiring, motor and linkage.
• Compare low/high or intermittent operation where those features are fitted.
